License Terms

These terms govern your use of the Meeting Assistant application for macOS ("the App"), made by Anna Shalaginov ("the Developer"). By downloading or using the App you agree to them. They are written to be read, not skimmed — they are short.

1. Trial and license

The App is free to use, with all features, for 14 days from first use. After that, starting a listening session requires a license key.

A license key is personal. It covers the number of people ("seats") stated at purchase — one, unless you bought more — and each covered person may use it on all Macs they personally use. A license is perpetual for the versions it covers: the App keeps working forever, offline, with no account and no activation server. Updates released within one year of purchase are included; later major updates may require a new license.

Do not publish, resell, or share license keys beyond the seats purchased. Keys are personalized to the buyer, and keys obtained or distributed fraudulently (including via payment reversal) may be invalidated in future releases.

2. Recording and consent — your responsibility

The App transcribes both sides of your calls. Laws on recording and transcribing conversations differ by country and state, and many require the consent of everyone on the call. The App is built consent-first — it offers a consent script in your counterpart's language and asks before capturing — but obtaining any legally required consent, and complying with the laws that apply to your calls, is solely your responsibility. Nothing in the App or on this site is legal advice.

3. Your AI provider

Translations and suggested replies are produced by an AI model provider you configure with your own API key (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google). Your relationship with that provider — its terms, its pricing, its handling of the text you send it — is between you and the provider. Usage costs charged by the provider are yours.

4. Accuracy

Transcription and machine translation make mistakes, especially with names, numbers, and accents; suggested replies are drafts, not advice. You are responsible for what you say in your meetings. Do not rely on the App as the sole channel of understanding where a misunderstanding could cause serious harm — medical, legal, or safety-critical settings deserve a human interpreter.

5. Refunds

If the App does not work out for you, email license@assistantmeeting.com within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. The trial exists so you can check everything on your own Mac before paying.

6. Warranty and liability

The App is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. The Developer's total liability for any claim related to the App is limited to the amount you paid for your license.

7. Changes and contact
